I believe that we were each uniquely created to fit into a uniquely shaped hole that we alone were created to fit into. I believe that we are not a mistake, but a part of God’s greater plan. I believe that it can often be difficult to figure out exactly where we fit, and that this uncertainty can cause us distress. I believe that each person has their own personal strengths, and that every one of us is different from one another for a reason. This is what makes the world interesting, beautiful, and what makes the world work.
I believe that the distress while struggling to find our own spot in this world can manifest in different ways at different ages. I also know that life often contains trials that make us further question our place in this world and how we fit into this complicated puzzle. I have a passion for helping people through this distress, to find their own strength, to build self-esteem, and to find their meaning in this world.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and trained Music Therapist who has been working in the field since 2006. I have worked with all ages and with various disorders, from depression anxiety and trauma to extensive work with behavioral disorders. My goal is to show God’s love and to guide and support people through some of their most difficult times with the ultimate goal of finding their best selves.
In my personal life, I am also a Worship Leader at my church, firefighter, EMT and God has given me a passion for helping others. I also believe in a healthy life balance, and enjoy activities such as music, rock climbing, hiking, and snowboarding.
Kathy is accepting new clients for in person (ask about telehealth) sessions at our new office location at 10 Higgins Highway, Suite 12, Mansfield Center, CT. She currently takes Anthem, Husky/Medicaid, Medicare, Optum, Connecticare, Harvard Pilgrim, Cigna/Evernorth, Aetna, and will shortly be in with TriCare.
