Meet Christopher

Christopher Mancini MA, LPC, NCC

"And God created man in His own image: in the image of God He created him..." This Image is transmitted to every human life. It cannot be lost, though darkness tries to hide it. So everyone is uniquely the Imago Dei.

Christopher Mancini graduated with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Franciscan University with a concentration in Trauma. His education and Catholic background equipped him with a Christian understanding of the human person, seeing everyone's dignity and mystery.

Chris adopts a cognitive-behavioral modality (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT) in treatment, focusing on the interplay among thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is highly evidence-based, and rooting it in a Christian framework produces wonderful results. Elements of psychodynamic theory, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and values-based approaches are also highly beneficial when incorporated into treatment. Chris has experience working with client populations across the lifespan, from childhood through adulthood. He enjoys working with Catholic and other Christian clients who are looking to integrate their faith with their mental health journey.

Chris treats many mental health issues, including: depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma-related stress, OCD, eating disorders, resentment and unforgiveness, adjustment disorder, substance abuse, behavioral/sexual/pornography addiction, and relationship stress/conflict.

Christopher will be seeing clients in our newest location in Mystic, CT or via telehealth on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. He takes Anthem, Optum/United Healthcare, Cigna, and Husky/Medicaid insurance currently.
